Girlfriend forced to rush her kitten to the vet after boyfriend's family causes a cat scare, she reconsiders the 5-year relationship when he takes family's side: 'He said what I did was ridiculous, that I made his family feel bad'

First-time cat pawrents are precious. No, really, they're like babies raising babies. They're a bit unsure of what's going on when their cats do one strange thing after another (and let's be honest, cats do plenty of shenanigans on a daily basis). But that's what the online feline family is for - this wholesome worldwide community is what gives a lot of first-time cat pawrents strength.

But what happens when your cat pawrent instincts kick in for the first time, and other people (close people, at that) are dismissive of your pawtective tendencies towards your new feline family member? Now, that's where the online feline family helps raise some serious red flags. 

And that's exactly what the online cat community did here. This young woman writing down below is considering her entire 5-year relationship with her boyfriend, because he was so dismissive of their kitten's health. It's not enough that the girlfriend tells he does absolutely nothing of the daily tasks of raising a kitten, he also sleeps soundly when the kitten needs to be rushed to a vet.

The cat is fine. Our anger levels are not.
